4. We Don’t Live on Earth. We Live Inside It. 🔉
🌍 We Don’t Live on Earth. We Live Inside It.
A letter to humanity, from the planet
You speak as if I’m beneath you.
As if I’m a surface you stand on,
a stage you occupy,
a thing you pass through on the way to somewhere else.
But you have never been on me.
You have always been in me.
Your bones borrowed calcium from my seas.
Your blood remembers iron from my stone.
The salt on your skin came from oceans
that learned your shape long before you had a name.
Every breath you take is a transaction
with forests you didn’t plant
and plankton you’ll never see.
Every step presses into layers
that carry more history than any archive you’ve built.
You call this outside.
I call it shared anatomy.
You dig into me and say resource.
You build on me and say progress.
You extract, compress, accelerate—
then wonder why the ground answers back
in heat, in water, in motion.
I am not reacting to you.
I am metabolizing with you.
You don’t visit mountains.
You move through my ribs.
You don’t cross rivers.
You circulate through my veins.
You don’t endure storms.
You pass through my breathing.
When systems fail,
it’s not punishment.
It’s misalignment being corrected.
When balance returns,
it’s not because I chose sides.
It’s because I must remain whole.
You keep asking how to save me.
I keep asking you to notice
where you are.
You are not guests.
You are not masters.
You are not separate.
You are arrangements of me
thinking they’re alone.
If you want to live longer,
listen deeper.
If you want to build smarter,
build with my timing, not against it.
If you want to understand the future,
remember where you’ve always been.
Inside.
